At First BJJ we encourage all our athletes of all levels to gain knowledge and experience by rolling with all other levels white to black belt. When one person grows, we all grow and benefit as a team. There are typically 3 different ability levels within the martial art of BJJ:
Beginners up to white belt 3 stripes are a part of the Adult Fundamentals Program which is the first level for adults (over the age of 16) beginning their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. Students will learn the fundamentals of BJJ and basic techniques. Class structure is formed around a warm-up, a lesson in technique and partner training to practice the technique from the lesson.
Adult advanced starts at white belt 4 stripes. The Adult Advanced Program is primarily focused on sports BJJ. Class structure is formed around warm-up, a lesson in technique and rolling.
From the blue belt level, this program is built upon a different curriculum and is perfect for the competitive athlete. The class objective is getting our competitors ready for tournaments. This class will also feature hard drilling, competitive sparring and conditioning. Although the class is designed for competitors, like everything at First BJJ, it is not exclusive. It is also open to all Blue Belts and up who are looking for high intensity training.
